The 2023 festival was held on the 4th of June, and we had nearly 2,000 visitors to the event, and with the lovely weather, the festival was successful on so many levels.
Organised by Freewheeling Cycle Club, Abingdon’s oldest and largest cycle club, and supported by one of our partners, the Loose Cannon Brewery, it is aimed at getting as many people from the local community and further afield taking part in all types of cycling. Whether you are looking for social, easy going rides, Family group rides, e-cycling or something a bit more sporty or off road riding, we will have something for you to get involved with. The Festival offers free rides and cycling activities for all ages and abilities and with over 20 rides on offer for road bikes, mountain bikes and anything else with two wheels, so something for everyone.
You don’t need to be clad in lycra to enjoy the Freewheeling experience, nor do you have to have a specialist bicycle, just turn up and join which ever ride group you fancy.
